Users are given a time limit of one hour to disclose their current locations while employing Facebook Messenger. The Live Location is launched on March 27 by Facebook. According to eWeek, the newest feature of Messenger is different from the device's location manager.

The reason why the newest feature is created is to allow users to share to their friends their current location in real time, which may foster in assisting meetings at specific places. It is better than looking at your Google's map and texting your friend as to what time he will be arriving.

Although it can lasts up to 1 hour, users can still have the option to turn it off at any time. The Live Location is launched globally and it is available for both Android and iOS users.

Users can coordinate with many people as they want using Live Location. According to Facebook, the newest feature will be accessed by about one billion Facebook users who use it at least once a month.

According to Messenger Product Manager Selena Wang, their team has already tested the feature and people would tell them how useful it is to coordinate with friends. It will help users to know if they are already close to the designated place during an appointment. According to CNet, it will make you say, "I'm here, come find me."
