If reports are anything to go by, the device has a significant battery and offers an amazing Always-On Display. The Galaxy A5 2017 features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display and 1.9 Ghz Octa-core processor.

The selfie camera has a screen flash and a Beauty mode. The device charges via a USB Type-C port. The Galaxy A5 2017 reportedly offers excellent battery performance that is difficult to beat. The Samsung device could last for 18 hours on Wi-Fi, 16 hours on 4G LTE, and 13 hours of 3G web browsing. 

Low Power mode can be used to save some juice. The Galaxy A5 2017 is water-resistant and has 32GB of internal memory, which is expandable to 256GB via microSD card slot.

In Australia, the Samsung smartphone costs about $649, Gizmodo reported. Customers will see the discounted smartphones with monthly repayment options from telecommunications company in the forthcoming months.

Last month, the Galaxy Tab S3 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The new Samsung device will reportedly cost $599.99.
