New updates for "Final Fantasy 7' remake will feature possible HD compilation of "FFVII" spin-off games and clarification of its PC release date.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the PC release date for "Final Fantasy 7" remake as Square Enix has ambiguous plans for the "Final Fantasy" game series within the year.

First of these plans is the launch of "Final Fantasy 7" remake's first episode within the year for the PlayStation 4, along with other "Final Fantasy" titles like Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" and "Final Fantasy XIII" trilogy with 1080p and 60fps.

Square Enix also plans to have "Final Fantasy 7" remake launch the PC version sometime in 2018 alongside "Final Fantasy XV" PC version, and in addition, the game publisher plans to have a "Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection" for the PS4 and PS Vita. The collection will contain "Final Fantasy" games from the very first to ninth title, which is a "must have" for gaming fans.

However, Square Enix game producer Shinji Hashimoto clarified these plans regarding these "Final Fantasy" games and stated that the company has not announced anything yet, and bare it as just rumors for now.

Hashimoto assured "Final Fantasy" fans that the development team is working really hard on these titles, especially "Final Fantasy 7" remake and will give an update on its status soon, Gamepur reported.

In other news, game director Tetsuya Nomura made several comments regarding the "Final Fantasy VII" spin-off games ("Before Crisis", "Crisis Core", and "Dirge of Cerberus"), as gaming fans want to see an HD compilation after "Final Fantasy 7" remake.

Nomura told Finaland that making a compilation for the "Final Fantasy VII" spin-offs will be a difficult task considering that there might not be any continuity between them and "Final Fantasy 7" remake at the moment.

The game director wanted to have "Final Fantasy 7" remake to be different from the original game, but at the same time will not make any sudden big changes in order to retain the feeling of nostalgia to older gaming fans.

Square Enix teased that they might have changes for the Materia System in "Final Fantasy 7" remake as Nomura explained that it is "skill" based and will be different from magic, unlike the original.

Gamers will also have a chance to control other characters in the "Final Fantasy VII" lore in the remake as they can switch from Cloud Strife to Barret Wallace and vice versa depending on the situation.

"Final Fantasy 7" remake is speculated to launch sometime within 2017 for the PS4.
