Xiaomi is said to be working on the successor of Redmi Pro that was launched in 2016. The new smartphone is alleged to be Redmi Pro 2 and is said to launch in this month.

The Redmi Pro 2 is expected to launch before the Xiaomi's next flagship smartphone the MI 6. It is said to feature full aluminium body with 2.5D curved glass. The specs and pricing for the device have been leaked. According to previous leaks, the Redmi Pro 2 is said to come powered with Snapdragon 660 processor, while other rumors indicate the device will be packed with MediaTek Helio P25 SoC.

The smartphone is pegged to come in two variants. One variant is said to feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage, while the other variant is speculated to carry 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. The Redmi Pro 2 is rumored to sport a 12-megapixel Sony IMX 362 sensor on its back side. It is speculated to come equipped with a 4,500 mAh capacity battery.

The Redmi Pro 2 variant with 4 GB and 64 GB is likely to cost at Yuan 1599 ($231). The variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage will be priced at Yuan 1799 ($260), GizmoChina reported. Xiaomi will be soon launching its flagship smartphone the Mi 6. According to recent news the device is likely to hit the markets by April 16.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch LCD display 2.5D curved glass for protection. It is likely to come equipped with a Snapdragon 835 chipset. The phone is said to come in three variants of a 4GB/32 GB storage, the second variant with a 4GB/64 GB while the third variant is pegged to feature 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal space. It is rumored to sport a 19-megapixel rear camera. The Mi 6 phone is said to come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat along with a 4,000 mAh battery, News18 reported.
