While several gamers speculated that Akuma could be show up in the sequel as a hidden boss characters, Maximillian theorized that Capcom might reveal a special version of one of the exiting roster members in the game as the final boss. Maximillian cited characters like M. Bison and Necalli as possible final boss potential due to their alternate costumes that were leaked in previous beta test; M. Bison's battle damaged clothes and Necalli's aztec clothes. M. Bison in the "Street Fighter" franchise has an alternate form called "Final Bison", which unleashes the Psycho power's full potential, while Necalli has been heavily featured in several "Street Fighter 5" promotions, thus hinting him as a possible contender for the final boss spot.

In other news, Capcom revealed new details on "Street Fighter 5's" story mode and its final beta test. "Street Fighter 5's" story mode will be divided into the two parts; Character Stories and Cinematic Story Expansion.

The Character Stories will introduce each character's origin within the roster through a traditional arcade mode developed by Japanese illustrator, Bengus. The Cinematic Story Expansion on the other hand, will feature several storylines that will expand the game's ongoing story that will help bridge the gap from previous titles such as "Street Fighter 3" and "Street Fighter 4". Capcom announced that the first expansion will launch on June as a free downloadable content, Gamerant reported.
