Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks have been circulating online for a long time now and the upcoming device made it to the headlines again after an official press render was recently leaked.

The Galaxy S8 press render was shared by popular leakster Evan Blass before the smartphone's Mar. 29 launch. The latest leak appears to confirm early rumors about the Galaxy S8's features such as a set of sensors above the screen which may include options like an iris scanner and front-facing camera.

Samsung is speculated to launch two Galaxy S8 models: a 2K 5.8-inch Quad HD display and a phone with a 6.2-inch 4K screen called Galaxy S8 Plus. Both handsets are expected to feature curved Super AMOLED displays with its resolution speculated to be at 3,840 x 2,160 with a pixel density of 806 pixels per inch (ppi). Details about the flagship smartphones continue to leak and this recent render shows a detailed view of the Infinity display and additional hardware button on the side which is said to be the new AI virtual assistant, Bixby.

Samsung could also remove the headphone jack from the upcoming phones and the recent leak reveals a removed home button as replaced by an embedded fingerprint scanner as well. The render shows three buttons on the side for power/lock, volume and maybe Bixby, the new Samsung AI assistant. It shows a green colored call icon on the left and a camera icon on the right.

Snapdragon 835 will be used in Samsung Electronics' next strategic smartphone Galaxy S8. The new processor is anticipated to power most highend smartphones of 2017. It deploys the company's 10 nm FinFet process node that ensures top caliber performance. It is efficient and will enhance battery life, consuming 25 percent less power than its predecessor. The device also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 support, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

A report suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature larger non-removable batteries packed with 3,250 mAh and 3,750 mAh, respectively. It is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat and support fast charging. Samsung is speculated to be in the development stage for the upcoming Galaxy S8.

The Galaxy S8 might not have dual cameras. It will come with a 12 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera with auto-focus technology as well as a front iris scanner which is borrowed from the Note 7. The Always On-Display is also expected to be included in the device.
