At the Nokia's Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event, the company announced three new phones namely, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the improved Nokia 3310. Here is a comparison between Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 to know their differences on the basis of their specs, features and pricing.

The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are budget smartphones that come with polycarbonate chassis. An aluminum frame is present along the edges of both smartphones. The Nokia 3 measures 143.4 x 71.4 x 8.5 mm and it comes in colors like Matte Black, Silver White , Copper White and Tempered Blue. The dimensions of the Nokia 5 are 149.7 x 72.5 x 8 mm and it also available in same color options.

The Nokia 3 features an IPS LC display of 5 inches. It supports a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The Nokia 5 has a slightly bigger screen of 5.2 inches and it also supports the same resolution. Both the displays are protected by Gorilla Glass (version is not known yet).

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The MediaTek MT6737 SoC featuring a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor is present under the hood of Nokia 3 along with 2 GB of RAM. Its native storage is 16 GB. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 powers the Nokia 5 with its 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. It also features an internal storage of 16 GB. Both smartphones have a dedicated external storage that supports up to 256 GB of microSD card, Phone Arena reported.

Camera, Software and Other Features

The Nokia 3 has a LED enabled 8-megapixel snapper on its rear. Its front-facing camera is also of 8-megapixel. The rear camera of Nokia 5 is of 13-megapixel. It comes with features like dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus. Its selfie camera is of 8-megapixel.

Both the smartphones come preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat. Other common features include fingerprint scanner, microUSB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS.

Battery and Price

The Nokia 3 is packed with a 2,650 mAh battery whereas the Nokia has a bigger battery of 3,000 mAh capacity. The Nokia 3 is priced at 139 euros ($178), while the Nokia 5 can be availed at 189 euros ($199), Gizmo China reported.
