Samsung released a new device line on the latest Mobile World Congress 2017 event. Aside from the release of Samsung Galaxy S3 and the announcement of the March 27 release of Samsung Galaxy S8, the Korea-based tech giant showcased its latest Samsung Galaxy Book.

As noticed, Samsung hasn't released any new laptop for the past recent years. But its Samsung Galaxy Book packs enough features that will satisfy the hard core Windows users even after a long wait. The device comes in two hybrids. Technically, the "books" are actually Windows 10 tablets that has S-Pen feature, keyboards and extensive portability.

The design and performance of the Samsung Galaxy Book is so fascinating that it tops against other Windows 10 convertibles in the market. It comes in a 10-inch and 12-inch variant. It has a svelte 7.4 mm profile, a Core M Processor for the 10-inches, a Kaby Lake Core i5 for the 12-inches, 4GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD or 256GB SSD and LTE Radio.

The S-Pen feature of the Samsung Galaxy Book can detect up to 4096 levels of pressure with 0.7mm nib. The hybrid device supports Screen Off Memo and Air Command shortcut. A particular tilt of the device should be able to predict a particular brushstroke that will be made using an S-Pen, so artists and designers will enjoy this feature with devices like the Adobe Photoshop.

The Flow Software installed will let users to see notifications from their smartphones. It also enables easy sharing of files across Samsung devices. The Samsung Galaxy Book also packs a 2160 x 1440 AMOLED display - the first for a 12-inch tablet. It guarantees outstanding visual experience for multimedia and gaming. It also supports HDR. But the 10-inch variant only packs a full HD LCD and no HDR.

The cost of the device is not confirmed yet. However, the Samsung Galaxy Book may be intended to compete with latest Surface Pro and iPad Pro products, so the pricing line may play around similar figures.
