Apple has just recently launched iOS 10.3 beta 1 which is reportedly the first pre-release version of the Cupertino-based tech giant's next big iOS release. As it is packed full of new features, there includes another popular feature that has not been reportedly specified in the official release notes.

The aforementioned popular feature that is included in the iOS 10.3 is that Verizon customers can now make Wi-Fi calls without the need of their iPhone which has been discovered by MacRumors. Apparently, to use this feature, users have to navigate to Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices and then turn it on. After which, they will be able to see all the devices which they can connect to and simply toggle each of them on or off.

Moreover, this feature reportedly enables iPhone users to make and receive Wi-Fi calls on other iCloud-connected devices whether those are iPod touch, iPad, Apple Watch, or most of the 2012 or later Macs. This feature is still functional even though users' iPhones are turned off or not on the same Wi-Fi network, as long as the other devices are signed into the same Apple ID used on their iPhones, Forbes reported.

Support for Wi-Fi calling on supported iCloud-connected devices is already present on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint carriers on iPhone owners for some time. So this brings Verizon customers parity. Note that Verizon already offers Wi-Fi calling however it is reportedly only inferior to the Wi-Fi Calling functionality that iOS 10.3 eventually offers. The feature is said to be supported as well by smaller U.S. carriers Simple Mobile and MetroPCs and by several other carriers.

Meanwhile, other features that are expected to be included on the iOS 10.3 beta 1 is the "Find My AirPods that will help AirPod owners to find their AirPods much easier. This feature is located in the Find My iPhone App. Another noteworthy change is said to be the iPhone file system wherein the said update will be changing into Apple File System. This change will reportedly improve boost speed on older devices such as the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S.
