A new smartphone from Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has been spotted on the benchmarking website GeekBench. The smartphone is called Xiaomi Mi MIX Evo, and, as the name implies, it might be an upgraded variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix.

One interesting detail revealed on the GeekBench listing is that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Evo will have the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device also packs 4GB of RAM, and runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform, according to NDTV. The GeekBench listing also shows that the Mi Mix Evo has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz.

According to GSM Arena, the GeekBench listing shows that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Evo scored 1918 points in a single core test, and 5689 points in a multi-core test. 

There are speculations that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Evo will be an upgraded version of the original Mi Mix. This means that the two devices will share almost the same design and hardware specs, except maybe for the chipset and RAM configuration.

The original Xiaomi Mi Mix was released in October 2016. It features a near bezel-less display with a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It has a Snapdragon 821 chipset with a quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz, and memory configuration of either 4GB or 6GB.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix packs a 16-megapixel rear facing camera with dual-tone LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfie shots and video calling. Other standard supported features are 4G LTE, Mi Pay, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth.
