The Gionee Steel 2 smartphone has been introduced in China.

The Gionee Steel 2 has a 5-inch high-definition IPS display along with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 293 ppi. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system based Amigo 3.5 out of the box.

The Gionee Steel 2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset clocked at a speed of 1.25 GHz and coupled with Mali T720 graphics processing unit. It comes with 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to a maximum of 128GB via an SD card.

The Gionee Steel 2 features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The main camera has the following features; high-definition resolution, business card scanning, panoramic, text correction, translation, night, Xpress, and intelligent scan.

The Gionee Steel 2 is a dual micro SIM smartphone. It comes with a light sensor, gravity sensor, and compass. Other connectivity options are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Gionee Steel 2 is 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6 mm in dimension with a weight of around 160 grams. It is packed with a 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery that can deliver up to 45 hours of talk time and up to 527 hours of standby time. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.

The Gionee Steel 2 is priced at $188.33 (1299 yuan) and is available for pre-order in the China in jazz gold and gold black color.
