Although electric cars are not new, the concept car by Chrysler is ahead of the pack as it is bundled with a whole set of exciting features. Automakers have started focussing more on passenger comfort and entertainment rather than on speed.

The upcoming Fiat electric vehicle, which will be revealed at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, has face recognition and voice biometrics. The automaker says it has been focussing on for millennials and will be "more than a tool - it's an integral part of their lives." The CES is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association.

The car is a crossover between an SUV and a minivan. It has three rows of seating with doors slide both forward and backward like a fancy closet. The Portal boasts of a group setting that takes all the riders' information and plans a trip accordingly, a display for those passengers in the back seats to post about their trip on social media, and an intercom system so that the driver and the people sitting at the very back can communicate with each other effectively.

The Portal supports DC quick charging. The battery gets an additional 150 miles after about fifteen minutes on the juice. The car operates semi-autonomously with radar, Lidar, ultrasonic and camera sensors keeping track of the road for the driver.
