Despite the decline of the PC gaming market, companies like HP and Maingear are still pushing the boundaries to cater to the ever-evolving demand of gamers. HP and Maingear have collaborated to build the Omen X, a powerful gaming machine packed inside an impressive cube design.

For the Omen X, HP tapped notable custom PC builder Maingear which is a well-respected brand in the gaming community. Aside from the complete gaming rig, HP and Maingear will also release the Omen X's empty case for $599. The case is an interesting choice for those who are planning to build a micro-ATX gaming or multimedia rig.

The Omen X is packed with some of the most powerful hardware that is currently out in the market. One of the Omen X's configurations has two graphics cards and four separate hard drives.

One Omen X model, which costs $2,149, has an Intel Core i7 6700HK processor, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and a GTX 1080 Founder's Edition to handle the graphics workload. It has 2TB of mechanical hard drive with a 256GB SSD, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 1300W Gold rated power supply, according to GameNGuide.

A review by Tech Crunch on the Omen X revealed that the rig could handle "Battlefield 1" on max settings and run at an impressive 75 frames per second with DirectX 12 enabled. The same rig can handle a maxed out "Arma III" with relative ease running at 70 frames per second, while "Rainbow Six: Siege" averaged between 60 to 80 frames per second with V-sync enabled and running on max settings.
