OG has again proven why it is one of the best "DOTA 2" team in the world with its victory in the 2016 Boston Major. OG faced Greek squad Ad Finem on the final day of the tournament and emerged on top of 16 other teams with a 3-1 win.

OG's route to the crown was not an easy one. According to ESPN, the team faced tournament favorite Evil Geniuses in the upper-bracket semifinals and went on to sweep the 2015 The International champions 2-0.

In the first match, Evil Geniuses turned on to the tried-and-tested combo of Shadow Demon and Luna. However, OG was able to counter this combo thanks to s4's Clockwerk playing an aggressive game.

The second match saw Suma1L and Arteezy picking strong carry heroes. In the end, it was OG's core heroes, ana's Outworld Devourer and notail's Alchemist, who triumphed.

Ad Finem's route to the finals was that of an underdog. The team had to claw its way from the lower bracket facing top "DOTA 2" teams like Newbee and LGD ForeverYoung, according to Bleacher Report. Even more impressive of the Greek squad is its sweep of Digital Chaos, the 2016 The International first placer, in the lower bracket semifinals.

During the finals, OG started business, as usual, winning the first two games of the best-of-five series. In its bid to deny the eventual champions of a sweep, Ad Finem secured a win in a highly contested third game. Surpassing the hour mark, Ad Finem's Dabachach purchased a Divine Rapier and managed to secure mega creeps which eventually led to the team's victory.

In the fourth game, Ad Finem's ThuG picked Templar Assassin who faced a significant disadvantage against OG's Invoker in the mid-lane. Several key team fights were won by OG. Although Ad Finem tried to keep up with the pace, the Greek squad eventually called "GG" at the 37th minute.

OG won the winner's share of the $3 million prize pool, while Ad Finem went home with a $500,000 prize.
