After-market graphics card manufacturer MSI has added a new low-profile model into the company's lineup. The new graphics card is based on the recently launched GeForce GTX 1050 Ti which features the groundbreaking Pascal architecture.

The graphics card was spotted on several tech forums. Its sports 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM. The new graphics card is expected to replace the older Maxwell-based GPUs in MSI's lineup and will be one of the company's flagship product in the entry-level gaming market.

According to AnandTech, the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti has 768 stream processors, 48 texture units, 32 ROPs, and a 128-bit memory bus. The card has a base clock speed of 1.29GHz and a boost clock of 1.30GHz.

Port options for the new MSI card include an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 and DL-DVI port. The card also supports HDCP 2.2 which is a requirement for Ultra HD Blu-ray playback. The card has a dual-fan configuration and is slightly bigger than most cards in its bracket as it features a dual-width.

The MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti has a thermal design power of 75W and does not require any auxiliary power connectors, a feature that is common among entry-level gaming hardware. This also makes the card a good replacement for the GeForce GTX 750 series, and the GeForce GTX 950 series, both lineups have 75W TDP.

Since the new graphics card is based on the Nvidia GP107 GPU, it is expected to support OpenGL 4.5, DirectX 12 and Vulkan APIs, as well as advanced media playback engine like H.265 HEVC. According to Digital Trends, the graphics card has a maximum resolution of 7680x4320 and supports up to three connected displays.

MSI is yet to confirm the official price of its after-market GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. However, based on previous pricing structures, after-market cards usually costs slightly higher compared to their reference counterparts. The reference GeForce GTX 1050 Ti costs $139, so expect MSI's new graphics card could be slightly most costly than that.
