There have been complaints from customers that their PS4 consoles are not "cooperating" with their TV sets. Yes, getting a PS4 Pro is the easiest way to enjoy the greatest in modern gaming graphics, but setting it up has proven to be rather tricky. Here are some ways to get that 4K high dynamic range (HDR) gaming experience that was touted with getting a PS4 Pro.

The first way is check and makes sure that the HDR setting on your console and TV are both on. This seems fairly easy and straight forward because the PS4 Pro should automatically detect TV settings and adjust accordingly. However, there are some TVs that require this feature to be turned on. Different TV brands have different names for the HDR function, so a little tinkering goes a long way.

Next is to ensure that the game you are trying to play is HDR compatible, or even better, make sure it is 4K compatible too. Games that are compatible will make full use of the console's upgrades and full 2160p resolution. Just make sure to check the game's display settings are turned on or else it will just be a waste.

The next tip is easy, just simply make sure that the game has been updated and is running on the latest patch. One final tip is to enter safe mode on the PS4 Pro, which is by turning the console off and holding the power button until there are two beeps. From there, the HDCP and display resolution can be adjusted, because the HDCP may interfere with how a TV displays 4K images.

Follow these steps so you can get the most out of your gaming experience. However, if none these work, the only option is to wait for Sony as the company is working on fixes for these firmware problems. In a sense, waiting for Sony and Playstation Support is the safest solution instead of putting your PS4 Pro into safe mode now and then.
