Main Characters Return

When the first look teaser for "The Last of Us 2" debuted at PlayStation Experience in December last year, a lot of fans believed that the original title's main protagonist, Joel, may already be dead. Hence, he will not make his return in the next installment of the series.

But they must be delighted to find out that Joel will still play a pivotal role in the new title. Rumors that Joel is dead has been put to a stop when Ashley Johnson herself posted a selfie with Troy Baker, the famed actor who played the role of Joel in TLOU.

Both Johnson and Baker were all suited up for a motion capture shoot, where green dots were seen on their faces. But it remains unknown as of yet how long Joel will appear in the game and how his presence will pan out in sequel's story, International Business Times reported.

Storyline

What's confirmed so far is that the story of "The Last of Us 2" is set five years after the events in the original game. While the past title focused on the love between the young girl (Ellie) and her father figure (Joel), the next game will revolved around hate as the theme.

In related news, recent reports say that the acclaimed composer, Gustavo Santaolalla, who is behind the soundtrack for "The Last of Us", will be making music for Rockstar Games' "Red Dead Redemption 2".

NeoGAF user Simo cited how Santaolalla Apertura piece from The Motorcycle Diaries soundtrack sounds similar to the music heard in the announcement trailer for "Red Dead Redemption 2". However, this piece of information is yet to be confirmed by Rockstar Games.

Santaolalla is also known for his incredible works on epic movies like "Brokeback Mountain", "Babel", and many more.  The Argentinian composer is also confirmed to make the music once more for Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us 2".
