The Russian Progress MS-05 cargo supply ship is a refueling and resupply freighter. This was launched into orbit equipped with an on-board computer that depends on data that is fed by a Kurs rendezvous radar, which commanded the final phase of the linked up. According to Spaceflightnow, the docking was documented by a live video camera installed outside of the ISS. The spaceship landed on the Russian section of the ISS located at the Earth-facing Pirs module.

In a report by Sputniknews, Russia's Progress MS-05 space freighter had been launched last Wednesday by the Soyuz-U carrier rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome earlier in the day. The Progress MS-05 brings into the ISS approximately 2.5 metric tons of various cargos such as fuel, water, food supplies and medicines for the crew, including scientific equipment. This flight to the ISS is marked as the final flight of a Soyuz-U rocket, which has been utilized since 1973.

The Russian Progress MS-05 cargo freighter will remain connected to the ISS until the middle of June this year. It will go back to Earth's atmosphere to be burned up and dispose of the space station's garbage.. For more updates on space missions, stay tuned to Telegiz.
