'The Last of Us 2' Update: Story to Have Unexpected Twists and Turns as 'Westworld's Writer Halley Gross Joins Naughty Dog

Fans can look forward to an enthralling and unexpected twists and turns in the story of "The Last of Us 2" with the involvement of "Westworld" writer Halley Gross. Meanwhile, the game's announcement at E3 is almost definitely to happen. 

The first and the last time that fans saw an official reveal of "The Last of Us 2" was several months ago, at PlayStation Experience 2016 in December. So, how possible that the game will be getting another teaser is almost definitely, according to IGN.

"The Last of Us 2" is dubbed as the "crown jewel" in Sony's lineup of major PS4-exclusive titles. It is likely that game developer will not be ready to unveil the full gameplay reveal at this year's annual trade expo but, it seems a teaser will fuel up the hype among gaming aficionados.   

The original title was critically acclaimed for its unparalleled storytelling experiences. It was also hailed as among the best video games ever released on Sony's last generation console, PS3.  

On the part of Naughty Dog, it made a name for itself as one of the best developers in the gaming industry. Its proven track record has been synonymous with quality and subtance. 

In "The Last of Us 2", main protagonists Joel and Ellie's moving story will continue, with voice actors Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. The sequel will unravel the first title's unclear ending.

Now, the sequel hires "Westworld" writer Halley Gross to join creative director Neil Druckmann. With Gross' participation in writing the story for "The Last of Us 2", fans can even expect more unexpected twists and turns for the game's story. 

"The Last of Us 2" is predicted to be part of Sony's E3 game lineup that will be announced during PlayStation Media Showcase on June 12 at Los Angeles Convention Center. Other PS4 exclusive titles that might make an appearance at the same event includes "God of War", "Days Gone", "Spider-man" PS4 and more.
