The UMi Diamond budget 4G smartphone has been unveiled for a price of $119.99 (around Rs. 8000).

The UMi Diamond 4G comes with tapered edges with a dual curved body and metal frame that provides better grip and enhances the aesthetics, Phone Radar reported. It has a 5-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and T2X-1 glass protection on top.

According to Mobipicker, the UMi Diamond 4G is powered by an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MTK753 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.5 GHz coupled with the ARM Mali T720 GPU. It comes with a 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

The UMi Diamond 4G runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box and could be getting further updates in the future. It is packed with a 2650 mAh Sony Li-Polymer 4.35V battery which is placed on the rear side.

The UMi Diamond 4G features an 8-megapixel Hi843b camera at the back with flash (interpolated to 13MO). It is accompanied with a 2-megapixel SP2509 front camera for better selfies and video calling.

The UMi Diamond 4G supports dual SIM connectivity as well as dual standby. It also sports sensors such as gravity, distance, Hall switch, and proximity. Other connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4GHz/5GHz, GPS, A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.0.

The UMi Diamond 4G is available in black, white, and gold color for pre-order at $99.99 starting on Oct. 20. It will be priced at $119.99 after the pre-sale period.
