In December 2015, a leaked image was doing the rounds of the Internet. People were made to believe that the concerned image was that of the upcoming MacBook pro 2016.

However, Apple recently shot down those rumors, stating that the leaked image was that of a 2012 model of MacBook and nothing else. Apple representatives also said that the MacBook in the leaked image was not the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 at all. The image in question showcased the rumored device to be sleeker than the existing model, which solidified the belief that it could be the MacBook Pro 2016.

Latest rumors state that the new versions of the MacBook Pro 2016 will be equipped with the Touch ID feature along with the Force Touch feature on the track pads. The 3D Touch feature is only seen in the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s till now. This could prove to be a major USP for the MacBook Pro 2016.

The variants are also expected to be armed with a Sky Lake processor with a more powerful RAM. The device is further speculated to be powered with the OS X EI Captain. It is also rumored that Apple is currently working on incorporating a better battery life for this device.

The device is also rumored to house the USB Type C connection port. The device is also speculated to feature the Retina Display screen which is expected to provide the users with an amazing viewing angle of 178 degree.

It is also rumored that the Apple iPad Air 3 will be revealed along with the MacBook Pro 2016. It is also rumored that a 4-inch Apple iPhone 7 Mini may be released soon. On the other hand, in some circles, Apple iPhone 7 Mini is also being called as iPhone 6C.

However, Apple is yet to comment on any of these rumors.
