Microsoft is adding Artificial Intelligence features to some of its products.

Microsoft has announced that it plan to add Artificial Intelligence features to Office 365 and Windows 10. The company made the revelation at the Ignite Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Microsoft stressed that companies currently require smarter tools to make the best use of large amount of data available to them.

Speaking at the conference, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that AI is of utmost use for analyzing vast amount of data. "We want to pursue democratizing AI like we pursued democratizing access to information," Nadella said. To this end, Microsoft is boosting its Office 365 with cloud-based AI to make several tasks easier to perform.

PowerPoint is now equipped with a QuickStarter feature. With this new addition, users can take advantage of curated outlines for select topics. This will eliminate the need to start from scratch when creating a presentation. This feature will be available on Sway. Microsoft has also added a new feature to Excel, which can be used for converting raw geographic data into Bing maps.

Microsoft will be introducing MyAnalytics, an in-built tool to let users track their productivity. Users will also be able to compare their performance with their peers'.

Microsoft is also looking to use AI for boosting the performance of its internal functions. The company will use AI assistants to upgrade service at its sales unit, Dynamics 365. Microsoft is currently using an AI agent in its US-based call centers to assist its staff in answering questions better.
