Leica has unveiled its first instant film camera named Sofort.

The instant film camera uses Fujifilm’s Instax film to produce prints immediately. The Sofort is enclosed in a stylish body, which is expected for a Leica camera. The name of the device reportedly comes from the German word for “immediately.” Leica Sofort would be previewed during Photokina trade fair in September. It would be released in November.

The Leica Sofort features numerous modes which include standard auto, party, people, sport, action, bulb, and macro. Another good addition is the self-portrait or selfie mode, according to The Verge. The device can do multiple exposures and even has a rectangular mirror on the front to help with selfie framing, helping users to check their face while snapping it.

The back has a full LCD and is equipped with an optical viewfinder. It also sports an optional flash, which can be left on, off, or on automatic. The camera has a rechargeable battery, which can snap up to 100 shots.

The camera automatically selects the aperture and shutter speed, but the exposure compensation gives users a bit more freedom. In addition, it allows users to focus to keep a sharp subject. Its f/12.7 aperture helps in keeping things in focus.

The instant film camera comes in three colors: white, orange, and mint green. The camera comes with various accessories such as straps and carrying cases, which is designed for the size of the Instax film, albums, postcards and photo presenters.

Leica Sofort has a price tag of $300, Tech Crunch reported. Both camera and film are expected to be in Leica stores and dealers by November.
