It can be noted that Apple released a 13-inch MacBook Air with retina display in the first half of 2015. Day Herald reported that MacBook Air 2016 shall be thinner compared to that of MacBook Air that was released last year. It will also boast a different cooling module and a thinner, lighter battery.

Speculations regarding its specs pointed that MacBook Air 2016 will be equipped with a Force Touch technology, 512 GB PCle- based flash storage and a USB type c- support which can run Apple's El Captain Operating System. In addition, the upcoming MacBook Air 2016 shall have improved graphics, RAM and battery life.

However, Apple tends to remain tightlipped about its products until moments immediately before the launch. So, all speculations regarding new products have to be considered with a pinch of salt.
