Lenovo-owned Motorola has revealed the India release date of its next-generation budget smartphone Moto E3.

Motorola would launch its next-generation budget smartphone, the Moto E3, in India on September 19. The upgraded handset, which is expected to priced at around $106, would be available for sale at the end of September.

Lenovo APAC President Ken Wong on Friday confirmed the Moto E3 India release date at the sidelines of an international trade conference in Berlin. "Lenovo will host a special event in India on September 19 where it will unveil the Moto E3," Wong said. "The phone will go on sale in India later this month."

US-based tech giant Motorola, which is now owned by Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo, unveiled the Moto E3 in July in China. The third-generation Motorola handset runs on the Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 1.0GHz MediaTek quad-core chipset.

The Moto E3 sports an 8-megapixel primary autofocus camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera. It also comes with a 5-inch high definition (720 x 1280) screen display and 8GB internal memory and 1GB RAM. The Moto E3, which is available in white and black colors, has a 2800 mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, v4.0 Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0.

Motorola recently hinted that it would soon launch the Moto E3 Power in India. The smartphone comes with a 3,500mAh battery and is powered by a MediaTek MTK6735p 1.0 GHz Quad-core SoC chipset. It comes with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
