Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro has been officially announced. It comes with flagship specs like Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6 GB of RAM.

ZUK is the subsidiary firm of Lenovo. In the previous year, Lenovo had announced Snapdragon 801 powered ZUK Z1 smartphone in August last year when other smartphone OEMs announced Snapdragon 808 and 810 SoC powered smartphones. Now, the company has unveiled ZUK Z2 Pro with topnotch specs that can put other Android flagships to shame.

The ZUK Z2 is fitted with a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen that carries support for full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The ZUK Z1 features a 5.1-inch IPS LCD screen that supports full HD resolution.

The Snapdragon 820 SoC that powers smartphones like Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10 and Sony Xperia X Performance is present under the hood of ZUK Z2 Pro. The SD 820 chip is supported by 6 GB of RAM. The native storage available on the device is of 128 GB. A stripped down version of ZUK Z2 Pro that features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage will be also made available in the near future, GSM Arena reported.

For photography, it is packed with a 13 MP ISOCELL shooter on its rear panel. Its f/1.8 aperture lens supports feature like 4K video shooting and phase detection autofocus.  For shooting selfies, it is packed with an 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture lens.

Like the ZUK Z1, the physical Home button placed below the display screen houses a fingerprint reader. It is also packed with various other sensors for heart rate, UV, altimeter and more. It comes preinstalled with Android Marshmallow OS.

ZUK Z2 Pro carries support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/, GPS and v4.1 Bluetooth. It measures 145.4 x 70 mm and it sports a slim profile of 7.5 mm. Even though it is packed with a 3100 mAh battery, it only weighs 145 grams. The battery carries support for Quick Charge 3.0. The ZUK Z1 featured a 4100 mAh battery, Phone Arena reported.

The ZUK Z2 Pro with 128 GB storage and 6 GB of RAM is priced at around $415. However, the price of other variant of ZUK Z2 Pro has not been declared.
