HTC is the first hardware manufacturer that Google tapped to help create its Nexus project. With the recent success of HTC 10 and the much hyped release of HTC Nexus 2016, HTC might well be able to regain the market share it lost to some of its fiercest competitors.

HTC 10 is considered by many analysts as HTC's way of announcing its presence in the now very crowded Android market. Reports claim that HTC even worked closely with Google in order to make sure that it will deliver the ultimate Android experience, while keeping bloatware minimal. Evidence to this effort is the overhauled HTC Sense. Additionally, HTC also managed to get rid of duplicate apps for simple tasks such as email, web browsing and calendar.

According to Tech News Today, the HTC 10 boasts a 5.2-inch SuperLCD 5 display. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM. Storage option is limited to 32GB and 64GB, both options support microSD for storage expansion. In terms of camera specs, the HTC 10 has a 12-megapixel rear facing camera with UltraPixel 2 technology. It also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Additional hardware specs include the 3,000mAh battery pack, USB Type-C support and fingerprint sensor.

The HTC 10 clearly has some decent hardware specs which could easily rival other high-end flagship devices. It also shows just how committed the company is with regards to staying on top of the game despite being pitted with some of the biggest tech companies in the world like Samsung and Apple. This led many tech analysts to suggest that the upcoming HTC Nexus 2016 might share a lot of similarities with the HTC 10 smartphone, according to Ubergizmo.

Both Google and HTC have kept a quite word about the existence of HTC Nexus 2016. However, many tech analysts believe that it will most likely be an upgraded version of the HTC 10 with pure Android features.
