Tech giant Microsoft picked the perfect stage to launch its newest luxury keyboard called Signature Type Cover. The new luxury keyboard is intended for the Surface Pro 4 tablet and was launched at the 2016 Milan Design Week.

When Microsoft released the Surface Pro 4 device, it was immediately praised for its powerful specs and features. Microsoft was able to fit a powerful Windows PC into a form factor of a tablet, which is not only thin but also very light. In order to complete the whole "tablet that can replace your laptop" experience, the only thing missing is a keyboard cover.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is clearly a powerful device. However, many tech analysts complain the lack of keyboard cover which hinders the tablet to shine to its full potential. Critics said that the real value of the Surface Pro 4 is when it is paired with a keyboard cover which allows it to function as a laptop. An optional or removable keyboard cover is also essential especially when the keyboard is not needed or inconvenient.

With the new Signature Type Cover, Microsoft created a peripheral device that not only enhances the function of the Surface Pro but also provides luxury and elegance to the device.

Microsoft posted in its official blog, "For the new Signature Type Cover, we wanted to make a cover that not only looks good, but feels great to hold in your hand and can stand the test of time. We needed something that was both durable and beautiful."

Microsoft event went as far as staging the launch of the Signature Type Cover during the Milan Design Week. The reason behind this decision is quite simple, the Signature Type Cover is made from a material called Alcantara which can be found in the village of Nera Montoro in Italy.

Microsoft claims that the Signature Type Cover is not just an ordinary keyboard cover for the Surface Pro 4. It is also an expression of class, luxury and style.

While the whole idea of fashion and luxury can be immediately associated with expensive price, Microsoft said that the Signature Type Cover will only cost $30, according to Forbes.
