While Apple maintains silence, speculations suggest that MacBook Pro 2016 could be released in June. Apple has announced that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 will be held from June 13 to June 17, and rumors are widespread that the Cupertino-based tech giant will unleash two MacBook Pro 2016 devices and one MacBook Air 2016 device on the said event.

On March 21, Apple had announced new products such as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablet and the iPhone 4-inch SE (Special Edition) smartphone. Additionally, the tech giant had also showcased new bands options for Apple Watch. Thus, it is expected that the Cupertino-based company will announce the 2016 Mac Book Pro models in June.  

Two versions are expected to be announced, with one model featuring a 13-inch screen while the other with a 15-inch display. It is rumored that both models will be powered by Intel Sky Lake sixth generation processors, wherein this new chipset will enhance the battery life of the editions as compared to its old versions of MacBook Pro.

Rumors also hint that the new versions will feature 9 hours of battery backup. The competitor companies such as Dell, HP and Microsoft have released Sky lake powered devices; hence, Apple too wants to feature the same chipset on its MacBook 2016 editions.

Similar to MacBook Air devices, the new MacBook Pro 2016 devices are expected to be thinner in design. Thus, the new versions will resemble to the earlier 12-inch MacBook Air which was released in 2015. It is rumored that these new models will feature Retina Display along with OLED display screens.

Speculations also suggests that 2016 MacBook Pro models will arrive with other features like Force Touch enabled Touchpad, Touch ID finger-print scanner, USB Type-C support for external graphics, dual-band a/c Wi-Fi and much more.

It is expected that the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2016 will cost about $1500 and the other version around $2800.
