The specifications of the Redmi Pro 3 similar to that of the regular edition of the handset. However, the Redmi Pro 3 comes with improvements in three departments namely, storage, RAM and biometric recognition. The Redmi 3 comes with 16 GB of native storage. Its Snapdragon 616 chipset is accompanied with 2 GB of RAM and it does not feature a fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi Pro 3 's Snapdragon 616 SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It features an internal storage of 32 GB. It also features a fingerprint scanner embedded inside. Like the Redmi 3, it also features a 5-inch IPS LCD panel that supports HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

Unlike most Xiaomi smartphones, the Redmi 3 and 3 Pro features a microSD slot that supports up to 128 GB of memory card. However, users can only use the microSD card on the second SIM slot of the phone. For photography, the smartphone is packed with a rear camera of 13 MP that is coupled with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and a single LED flash. Users can snap selfies by using its 5 MP frontal shooter.

The smartphone comes preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop that is overlaid with company's MIUI 7.0 software. It is packed with a massive battery of 4,100 mAh capacity that supports fast charging. It comes in various colors like gold, silver, gray and classic gold. Even though it's a budget phone, it sports a premium appeal as it wears a unibody metallic chassis.

As far as pricing of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 3 is concerned, it will cost 899 Yuan ($138). The smartphone will be only available in China starting from April 6, Phone Arena reported. Xiaomi has not released any information as to when the Redmi Pro 3 will be hitting international markets.
