Nurugo Micro is a portable device that easily fits over a smartphone's camera lens. This accessory does not require any power from your smartphone device for serving as a lens over the smartphone's camera. Also, the attachment needs no cable connection. This attachment allows up to 400x magnification. It is small in size and it can remain attached to the smartphone. For the purpose of attachment, it uses small, simple clip.

Additionally, it includes a fixing ring which allows illuminating the subject, a light guide helps to keep the shadows far off and a focus guide so as to manually adjust the device focus. As the attachment microscope working is based on the phone's regular camera, the attachment can be used further to record videos when the photos are just not enough.

The attachment will be helpful to scientists, researchers as well as medical professionals and students. In developing countries, the actual usage of the microscope attachments in smartphones is helping in diagnosis of skin cancer. The current Nurugo Micro project is available on the Kick starter crowd funding website. It is sought to raise $50,000. With few days remaining for the campaign, it has raised more than $150,000. Nurugo Micro units are available for a $39 USD pledge for the early bird units. Shipping will start if all goes as per the plan in the May of this year.
