Aluminum cans used during the past two decades to help build a unique house in Texas has been sold. The homeowner made all the beer can decorations by drilling a hole into the bottom of the cans then cutting them up. Lockheed Martin retiree Louis Torres drank beer from all the metal containers before turning them into ornaments for the North-Central Texas house and yard.

Torres recently retired from the aeronautics company. He explained to WFAA that he now has more time to drink beer at home and watch TV programs, according to ABC News.

Torres started decorating one tree in his yard. He then added beer can decorations to other trees, then added others up to the fence line.

Many people who see the house are amazed by the cans that appear on various parts of the house and yard including the shrubs. However, they are often uncertain what kind of decorations it has.

Due to local redevelopment Torres' home is the only one left on the block in Fort Worth, Texas. He decided to sell the house because developers are buying up all the properties and the times are changing.

The retired Texan received the house when his parents passed away almost 60 years ago, according to USA Today. Even though Torres thinks the house will probably be demolished he has happy memories about living in the home.

The Texas house once had about 4,000 cans on the building and yard. However, after a 2012 battle with the city of Fort Worth all the cans were taken to a recycling center.  He made a deal with the city that only allows him to hang aluminum cans on his property.

Torres shares that last year he received a Louis Bar sign and 10 cases of free beer from MillerCoors.

The Texas resident has plans to move his beer can creation in a couple of weeks to the new property. He shares that his beer house will return along with the Budweiser, Miller Light, and Milwaukee's Best alcoholic drinks.
