A leaked package of the alleged Apple iPhone SE has surfaced before its purported announcement on Mar. 21.

Apple is expected to unleash new products on the aforementioned date. However, it has not revealed any information on the products that will be showcased at the unveil event. Rumors are rife that the a small-sized iPhone with 4-inch display will be unveiled alongside a 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablet. The 4-inch iPhone is expected to launch with iPhone SE (Special Edition) moniker.

A leaked package has surfaced with a label 'SE' mentioned on it has surfaced. Rumors suggest that it may be an image of the iPhone SE's package. It shows that the smartphone will arrive with a native storage capacity of 16 GB for its base model. Rumors also indicate that the smartphone will be available in a 64 GB model, GSM Arena reported.

It has also revealed that the iPhone SE will be mid-range model as it will be packed with 1 GB of RAM. The current flagships from the company, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus feature 2GB of RAM.

Nevertheless, the iPhone SE will be powered by Apple A9 chipset that are present under the hood of the current generation iPhones. The package has also revealed that the iPhone SE will carry support for NFC that can be used for carrying transactions through Apple Pay.

Rumors suggest that the iPhone SE will resemble the iPhone 6s as well as the iPhone 5S smartphone. It is expected to sport curved corners like the iPhone 6S and its power button will be placed on the side of the handset. The 3D Touch pressure-sensitive screen will not be available on the iPhone SE, International Business Times reported.

The launch event will be hosted at Apple's campus in Cupertino, California starting at 1 PM EDT. The live stream of the launch event can be accessed on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running on iOS 7 or above. Mac users can make use of Safari browser to view the launch event. Owners of Windows 10 PCs will be able to watch the live stream through the Microsoft Edge browser.

Apple is also expected to reveal new bands for Apple Watch users. Other rumors suggest that the Cupertino company may announce a new MacBook Pro 2016.
