Netflix stock prices rose almost 3.4 percent on March 4, Friday due in part to RBC Capital Markets' survey results. The questionnaire showed that an all-time high 53 percent of the streaming service's customers use it to watch movies and TV series. Those high figures beat the ones earned by Google's YouTube and Amazon.com.

The spike in TV and movie watching on Netflix was an uptick from 51 percent in November. Meanwhile, the figure for YouTube was 46 percent and for Amazon was 27 percent, according to The Street.

Other good news for the home of "Orange Is the New Black" is that 70 percent of subscribes are at least very satisfied with the company's video streaming service. It is a slight rise from 69 percent in November.

Half of United States users said the California-based company has improved its content during the past year. Just 9 percent claimed that it got worse.

This year the company is expected to roll out a price increase, but 70 percent of the respondents said that they likely will not cancel the service.

RBC Capital also reported its $140 price target for Netflix stock prices.

MoffetNathanson reported a different study's results on March 3, Thursday. It showed that Netflix was responsible for about half of the 3 percent total drop in TV viewing in the US.

Another big plus was that "House of Cards" Season 4 was released on the video streaming website on Friday. The political drama is based on the story of Frank Underwood who rises from the US Congress to the White House.

Last year Netflix was the best-performing S&P 500 stock and in fact the value of the shares more than doubled, according to CNN.

Earlier this year Netflix shared with investors that its subscriber growth has skyrocketed. It is also expanding in almost every global market except China.

Netflix does not have traditional TV ratings for its shows. However, it has produced much social media buzz and won Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

"House of Cards" is one of Netflix's top original programs. It has had the same effect as AMC's "Mad Men," and HBO's "The Sopranos."

In addition, season 2 of "Daredevil" based on the Marvel superhero will be released on March 18.
