Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Verizon’s exclusive Motorola DROID Turbo 2 already out in the market

Verizon and Motorola have been collaborating and have been partners for more than six years as of today. Their debut was the first and phenomenal QWERTY models. Now, Verizon's latest flagship DROID Turbo 2 will be using the latest Android 6.0 version Marshmallow. The soak test for the Marshmallow update became available before the month of February ends, but for limited markets only.

Motorola monitored users that have been active on their support forums and the selected few were lucky enough to be one of the firsts to experience the soak test. Those who were selected to initialize the update on their Motorola phones were instructed not to disclose any information about the software update. The update runs in 1.1 GB with an Android security patch tag 'March 1st'. According to Android Police, DROID Turbo 2 shall be formally getting the Marshmallow update any time between March and April.

Details of the software update were posted by Verizon in Feb. 12, but the post was deleted right away. The official confirmation was made by Verizon in Feb. 29 announcing the release of the update in March 1.  Motorola and Verizon are working towards creating their own devices for the Marshmallow Android software. LG and HTC also acquired Android 6.0 along with all the latest Moto X and G smartphones.

DROID Turbo 2 offers top of the line specs and a two-day battery life vantage point that comes with an amazing camera specs. Although this flagship was initially released using the Android 5.1 Lollipop version, recent updates are now being changed from the Lollipop version to the latest Marshmallow version.

DROID Turbo 2 owners can get the update by manually checking on their phone's settings. Owners should also be aware that the update will not get into their phones simultaneously as the update notification will start hitting DROID Turbo 2 users. Also, users are advised to make sure their phones are using WiFi connection in getting the update, and battery life should at least be at 50 percent, added by Gotta Be Mobile.
