The Apple iPhone 7 that is expected to release later this year will be arriving with a design that is similar to that of the iPhone 6. Moreover, it will come with non-protruding camera and stereo speakers.

The iPhone 7 is expected to come with several changes to its design. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S measures 6.1 mm and 7.1 mm in thickness, respectively. The upcoming iPhone 7 Plus is rumored to arrive with a slim profile of 6.1 mm like the iPhone 6, Mac Rumors reported.

The iPhone 6 was heavily criticized for its slim profile as it could bend easily. Hence, the Apple iPhone 6S was launched with a thicker chassis. However, the upcoming is again going to sport a slimmer chassis.

The design of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S were also criticized for the antenna bands present on the back panel. The upcoming iPhone 7 will not be featuring. Moreover, the camera hump of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S smartphones will be absent on the upcoming iPhone 7 models.

Another striking change that will be arriving on the iPhone 7 is the arrival of a new external speaker. The iPhone 7 rumors suggest that it will not be featuring a 3.5 mm audio jack. This will allow the iPhone 6S successor to sport a slimmer design. Since the iPhone 7 will not be featuring a 3.5 mm audio jack, users will have to make use of wireless earphones from Beats or a third party company to listen to the music.

The 3.5 mm audio jack is located on the topside of the iPhone 6 and 6S models. It will be replaced by a secondary speaker. It means that the iPhone 7 will be sporting a pair of stereo speakers. All the predecessors that have launched in the past have never featured stereo speakers. 

Another measure that Apple is likely to take to reduce the thickness of the iPhone 7 is that it will be cutting down the size of the Lightning port. It does not mean that iPhone 7 users will need a kind of cable or connector as the company is only going to reduce the cutout of the slot, 9 to 5 Mac reported.

Fresh speculations suggest that the iPhone 7 will be featuring next generation CPU and RAM. Rumors that it will arrive with Apple A10 SoC and 3 GB of RAM.
