Plastic surgery has been a popular medical procedure for millions of people in the United States for decades. Buttock implants and male breast reduction surgery are rising in the US while the top five procedures include others such as breast augmentation, nose jobs, liposuction, and tummy tucks. Meanwhile, the top minor procedures include Botox, laser hair removal, and chemical peels.

A report on the country's most popular types of plastic surgery was published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). It shows some big changes between 2000 and 2015.

The number of surgeries has risen two percent since 2014. Last year the number of cosmetic and "minimally invasive" procedures rose to 15.9 million, according to Medical Daily.

Meanwhile, the number of plastic surgeries performed between 2000 and 2015 surged 115 percent. However, different procedures have increased or decreased in popularity over the years.

ASPS President Dr. David H. Song reports that facial procedures and breast jobs are among the most popular. However, patients are starting to get work done on more body parts.

One big change is the increase in popularity of butt lifts and implants. In fact, they are the fastest growing procedures in the US and their rates skyrocketed 252 percent from 2000 to 2015.

Another big change is that over 40 percent of breast reduction procedures were done on men last year, which is an over one-third spike since 2000.

Song shared that more men are having surgeries to tone and tighten target areas. That often includes young men who have issues about the size and shape of their chest due to genetic issues.

More breast cancer patients are also getting breast reconstruction jobs. The 106,000 procedures last year was a four percent uptick since 2014.

Jennifer Lopez has become famous for her voluptuous rear, but shared in 2014 that she would never have a buttocks reduction surgery, according to Daily Mail. However, she admitted that she sometimes has a "fat day."

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has reportedly received butt augmentation through a method that involves injecting fat instead of adding silicone implants. It would explain why her buttocks X-ray on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" was negative.
