Both the Galaxy S7 and LG G5 come with a Snapdragon 820 processor of Qualcomm and an Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM capacity is 4GB on both. When it comes to the touch screen, once again, Samsung has gone for a Super AMOLED screen while LG is still on its usual IPS LCD. Since both technologies have made a good selling point in the market, they can definitely find a good outcome this time.

The galaxy is 5.1-inch for its 152 grams body weight while G5 has a 5.3-inch display and weighs 159 grams. Both the newbie's share the same resolution of 2560 by 1440, but the Galaxy S7 is packed with a bit higher pixel per inch to its display.

When it comes to the cameras the 12 megapixel rear facing camera of Samsung S7 is bit low compared to G5's 16 megapixels with comes with a 78 degree field view. Samsung has gone down from 16 of previous S6 to 12 megapixels in S7. G5 has two cameras on its back with an addition of 8 megapixel camera with a 135 degree field view and a laser focus system.

Samsung has got its mark when batteries come into the picture. The Galaxy S7 has a high 3000mAh battery while LG's G5 comes with a 2800 mAh battery; however, G5 has a removable, modular battery that helps in adding new features and controls to the smartphone like the bigger camera back battery, a zoom wheel, etc. This new feature though makes the module bulkier that is a fresh upgrade compared to Samsung S7.

The G5 also has a stunning design, being the only all-metal high-end phone in the market with a swap out modules. Also in terms of waterproofing and dust proofing abilities, Galaxy S7 leads the way.
