One of the most highly-anticipated smartphone expected to debut at the 2016 Mobile World Congress is the Samsung Galaxy S7. The flagship device from the South Korean tech giant has been the subject of several leaks, speculations and rumors discussing what its features and hardware specs.

In order to promote the launch of the Galaxy S7, Samsung will host a one of a kind event on Feb. 21. Dubbed the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone will be presented in a 360-degree live streaming.

In a press release acquired by GSM Arena, Samsung said, "During the Galaxy Unpacked event you will get four options where to watch - from the auditorium, stage left, stage right or from center stage. Pick whichever spot is right for you, then use the 360 live streaming to get a complete view of the event from every angle."

For PC users who want to witness the historic event, they can simply access the official Galaxy Unpacked page on the Samsung website. Samsung also released the Unpacked 360 View app so that mobile users can also witness the event. The app supports both Android and iOS platforms.

For users who want to have a more immersive experience through Gear VR, they need to download the app from the Oculus store.

A handful of leaks that surfaced in the past couple of months gave the tech community a slight insight about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S7. Rumors claim that the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Additional leaked information reveal that the Galaxy S7 will have IP68 rating, 2800mAh battery pack and microSD support. The USB Type-C standard will not make its way into the S7.

For its hardware specs, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to run on either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Samsung's own Exynos 8890 chipset, according to Android Authority.

Tech experts agree that the S7 will have at least 4GB of RAM, a specification that is becoming more of a standard for premium-tiered devices.

Rumors claim that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a limited local storage option. Although no official specs list had been revealed, some say the S7 will only have 16GB of local storage space. Storage space will not be a big turn down for the Galaxy S7 since it support microSD for storage expansion.
