Consumer Electronics 2016 may have debuted some new and exciting devices and gadgets, but virtual reality remains to be among the more interesting ones, as devices featuring the up and coming technology have made waves on the show floor.

Apart from the usual suspects such as Oculus Rift, Sony's PlayStation VR and HTC's Vive Pre, there are two other VR devices that are worth checking out. The first comes from Speck, more known popularly for the smartphone cases that they make.

Dubbed as the Pocket VR, this new VR tech puts behind the virtual reality headset issue of bulky headgears. As the name implies, it can be folded into a flat piece that works well with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S6, Digital Trends reported.

The device features lenses for the VR to work, and a neat mechanic that makes use of the CandyShell Grip case to neatly clip the pieces together. What's great about Speck's entry in to the VR industry is that it is already Google Cardboard-certified. As such, it is compatible with apps and games in the VR realm.

So far, the Pocket VR will cost $70 for the device and the CandyShell Grip. It will be available in spring, though an exact release date has yet to be revealed.

Another VR-ready device, this time from 360fly, surprisingly make use of cameras that offer VR-ready solutions. 360fly's camera has the unique selling point of using a single lens to capture all the action. This can then be used and viewed with a VR headset as is, no stitching necessary.

While the technology is already out as a first edition in different retailers, 360fly brought something new to the table at the CES 2016. The company had shown off a 4K version of the 360fly camera, which has better image sensors, 30FPS and more options and modes, VR Focus reported.

"Based off feedback from current 360fly users and 360fly brand ambassadors, the 360fly 4K camera represents the next evolution of features, like 4K video and live streaming," said 360fly CEO Peter Adderton as quoted by VR Focus.

360fly's drone camera is not the only one in the market. Recently, GoPro has also entered the drone camera industry with its Karma VR-ready camera.
