Airbnb-Listed Van Gogh Bedroom
Vincent Van Gogh's famous French bedroom has been recreated in real life by the Art Institute of Chicago, and can now be rented on Airbnb's website for a rock-bottom price of $10. The institute modeled the sleeping space after the famous 19th-century Dutch artist's famous "Bedroom in Arles" paintings to give it the same style and structure. In fact, the works of art even include the original angle of the Post-Impressionist artist's masterpieces.

The Airbnb post for the bedroom that accommodates two people was made to highlight a Chicago exhibit of Van Gogh's work. It will run until early May.
Interested renters can find the Van Gogh bedroom in Chicago's River North Neighborhood. The listing was written by "Vincent."
It shares that the room will make customers feel like they are living in a painting as it includes a Post-Impressionist style that models Southern France and past times, according to Digital Trends. The bedroom's bright colors, artwork, and furniture will give people a unique lodging experience.
Vincent explains that he is charging $10 to rent out the room so he can buy paint. However, he notes he is also willing to provide tickets to his exhibition taking place at the Art Institute of Chicago, which is just around the corner from the listing.
Airbnb's Van Gogh listing includes many details found in the painting. They include wicker-weave chairs; a bedside table with bowls, jugs, and brush; and pictures hanging on the wall, according to The Verge.
Van Gogh's bedroom paintings were inspired by the south of France's strong sunlight. He lived there until his death in July 1990, and the environment caused his paintings to become brighter in color and unique in style.
The exhibition entitled "Van Gogh's Bedrooms" will run from February 14 to May 10. It is the first time the artist's three bedroom paintings have been showcased together in North America. Van Gogh created the artwork in 1888 and 1889 from his Arles home in France.
Van Gogh's "Portrait of Dr. Gachet" is one of the most expensive paintings in history. In 1990 the first version sold for a record-setting price tag of $82.5 million at a New York auction.
