New Huawei 10-Inch Premium Tablet Is Solid 2nd-Gen Google Nexus 10 Candidate – Here’s Why

At the CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week, Nexus 6P maker Huawei revealed its latest collection of gorgeous new devices that include a 10-inch Android powered tablet, which packs the compelling specs and features that could convince Google to resurrect the Nexus 10.

At first glance, Huawei's MediaPad N210 could easily pass up as one of Samsung's Galaxy Tab, specifically the 10-inch kind. The N210 profile is practically a clone of Samsung's work but a closer look on the device, according to PC World, would reveal of marked improvements implemented by the Chinese tech giant.

If indeed the MediaPad N210 was partly modeled after the tablet line up of the South Korean device maker then Huawei did a nearly perfect work and more. Per PC World, the N210 is stunning inside and out and if Google would trouble itself for a deeper review, the Nexus maker could again toy with the idea of issuing a Nexus 10 2016 version.

Premium build

Like the Nexus 6P, Huawei fashioned out the MediaPad N210 as a premium device. The tablet is wrapped in melded metal and glass that readily suggests it is designed to slug it out with industry leader's Apple iPad Air. Google picking up this slate as its second Nexus 10 will surely please millions of Android fans.

High-end specs

Further boosting the N210's premium packaging is device specifications, bannered by an 8-core Kirin processing chip that spins at top speed of 2GHz. The tablet's mobile computing prowess is all the more enhanced by 2GB of RAM for the N210 16GB version but users opting for 64GB build will get a more generous 3GB of RAM provision.

The display panel emits in 1080p screen resolution that is gloriously fired up by a 6660mAh battery.

Productivity and entertainment features

Huawei appears to have designed the MediaPad N210 as mainly an entertainment piece with its stereo surround speaker system that is Harmon Kardon-made. For Google this is a good thing as the N210 will complement the tech giant's Pixel C tablet that is chiefly geared for the business crowd.

The Huawei MediaPad N210, however, is also a tool both for amusement and productivity as evident by the on-board stylus that its maker said is laced with 3D Touch-like features that Apple had first introduced. And if the creation tasks require more space, the new Huawei tab is all set with its memory expansion slot.

Huawei has tentatively set March 2016 as the likely release date of the MediaPad N210, which should be ideal for Google to repurpose the device as the vanilla-Android powered Nexus 10 2016 and roll it out later in the year.
