1Password has updated its Android version big time, making it a version six.

In addition to a full Material redesign, the app now has support for Marshmallow’s fingerprint unlocking. The new Material Design-based look intended to make it easier to use the app. It makes the app cleaner and adds more spacious layouts, improving the toolbars and the navigation drawer.

App maker AgileBits released version six of 1Password, jumping from 4.5.3. Every aspect of the app, including the lock screen, navigation drawer, and settings, has been given a nice Material refresh. Other visual refreshes include a consistent toolbar, refreshed category and settings icons, and a FAB to add new passwords and sites.

Version 6 also adds support for fingerprint unlocking on Marshmallow devices in lieu of manually entering a master password, 9to5Google reported. Wi-Fi syncing between the internal and external databases has also been greatly improved. A full and more detailed change log is available on their site.

The latest version comes also with the beta version of 1Password for Teams. It is a useful feature whenever the users want to share log-ins with family or co-workers, so they can all access any account needed for the project they are working on. User can even quickly add a team account by using the built-in QR code reader.

The app automatically generates and stores strong passwords for every new service you sign up for, helping to keep user’s information safe should any one password be compromised. Mobile has made 1Password a bit of a hassle, but fingerprint support should make matters a bit easier.

The update for 1Password up to version 6.0 is already available in both Play Store and Apple store. It is both available for iOS devices PCs as well. The latest upgrade is available as a free download for those who have already paid. It is also worth noting that version 6 will only work for Android 4.1 or newer.

However, those who want access to the app's premium features, including the ability to mark items as favorites and organize them within folders, will need to shell out a one-time fee of $9.99, otherwise there is a 30 day free trial of the premium features, according to PC Mag
