With the coronavirus global pandemic continuing to wreak havoc across the globe, people are urged to stay indoors and self-isolate to stop and prevent the further spreading of the highly infectious COVID-19. To encourage people to stay creative even during the quarantine, GoPro has launched a new daily competition for the best and most creative self-isolation videos and photos.

GoPro Launches #HomePro Challenge

According to a report by TechRadar, the challenge, dubbed as #HomePro Challenge, is open to anyone, anywhere.

The goal is to be as creative as possible with your self-isolation videos--from TimeWarping puzzles to making your cooking show or even strapping a GoPro to your pet and see what they've been up to.

GoPro will be choosing five winners each day, and they can choose from either a GoPro Hero 8 Black or a GoPro Max--but regardless of choice, they'll also be getting an additional five years worth of GoPro Plus for free.

For those who are not aware, the GoPro Plus is a subscription service from the company that provides the user with cloud storage as well as replacements for their broken action cameras.

How to Submit Your #HomePro Entry?

Although GoPro would recommend that you use a GoPro camera and download and use their app, which is available on both Android and iOS smartphones, this is not necessary.

Your #HomePro Challenge entries could be shot with any camera, including your smartphone.

Those who want to submit their photos and videos can upload their videos on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or even TikTok, but make sure you use the hashtags #GoPro and #HomePro so GoPro can find and consider your submission.

The challenge has already started on March 23, but it's still going and will last until April 30.

Ideas to Win

But what does GoPro want?

According to them, you can do anything as long as its creative, but here are a few tips that you can try according to people back at GoPro who are judging the whole thing: "Be it science (filming an egg poaching or the Coke + Mentos explosion?), music (let's see some skills) or whatever it is that you think is awesome ... juggle madness, anyone? We want to see it!"

Plus, they have also posted a few of their favorite submissions so far to provide everyone with a little idea of what they are looking for.

Remember, it's a daily competition, and each day, five winners will be selected, plus it's open to anyone around the world.

The winners of the daily competition will be announced on GoPros official social media accounts, so it's best to follow them wherever they are in to quickly know whether you've won or you need to try another day.

Besides the #HomePro Challenge, GoPro is also offering the new Hero 8 Black for $50 off, and it already comes with a bonus free accessory that you can choose.

GoPro Hero 8 Black is the latest addition to its Hero series, which boasts a Hypersmooth 2.0 stabilization and built-in mounting so your action videos are captured like a pro. Meanwhile, Max is a 360 action cam to capture every moment easily.
