New updates for "Dragon Ball FighterZ" will feature possible "DBZ" characters joining the roster and a Nintendo Switch version.

It was during the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo event that Bandai Namco Entertainment debut a new "Dragon Ball" fighting game called "Dragon Ball FighterZ." The game is being developed by Arc System Works, the studio behind the "Guilty Gear" series.

As seen in the E3 trailer and gameplay, "Dragon Ball FighterZ" will feature a three-on-three 2D fighting gameplay style that lets players fight other players using popular characters from the "Dragon Ball" series. Playable fighters such as Super Saiyan Son Goku, Vegeta and Son Gohan will be matched against famous villains like Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" gameplay is somewhat chaotic and fun to watch similar to how the anime fans see "Dragon Ball" in the anime or from previous games.

As for the characters, gaming and anime fans might be expecting more familiar faces in the "Dragon Ball" series like Piccolo or Krillin in the roster. However, some fans want to see more or less obscure characters in "Dragon Ball FighterZ" such as Master Roshi, Arale Norimake, Yajirobe, Debura and even Frieza's older brother Cooler, Gamerant reported.

Meanwhile, there is a chance that "Dragon Ball FighterZ" will likely be ported on other game platforms besides the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

According to Bandai Namco, it is possible that "Dragon Ball FighterZ" could be ported to the Nintendo Switch, but only if there is enough demand from fans. However, game producer Tomoko Hiroki told Gameblog.fr (via IGN) that this is not a question of power as she explained that they are not having difficulty on "Xenoverse 2" in the new Nintendo console.

Hiroki added that if they carry on getting requests from fans, they will manage to create a version of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" for the Nintendo Switch as well. The latter may not come out at the same time as the others, however the developers might consider it soon.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" is set to launch sometime in 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
