New updates for the "Spider-Man" PS4 game will feature a possible release date and the PS4 Pro version not running at 4K at 60fps.

It seems that Insomniac Games announced several updates for the "Spider-Man" PS4 game as Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Shawn Layden told Telegraph (via Gamerant) that the new "Spidey" game will launch in the first haft of 2018.

Layden was asked about why the team only showed a few games set to release in 2017, and showed off mostly games not coming until next year. Layden replied by simply stating that 2017 is already half-way over, and that the games coming in 2018 will launch earlier than later, which ofcourse includes "Spider-Man."

Despite the change in the release date for "Spider-Man" PS4, Marvel fans and gamers alike could deny how impressive the game was during E3 2017 and the delay could be prove beneficial to both Marvel and Insomniac Games in trying to come up with improvements for the game before its launch next year.

However, there is still a downside to the development of "Spider-Man" as several gamers tweeted questions regarding the game's resolution and frame rate in the PlayStation 4.

Insomniac Games confirmed that "Spider-Man" can run at 4K resolution, via Temporal Injection of 30fps. The developers also added that an option to run the game at 1080P at 60fps is not really feasible on the PlayStation 4 Pro, most likely due to the CPU constraints. It seems like having a complex open world game running at 60FPS is just too much to ask for current generation consoles.

The "Spider-Man" PS4 game will also feature a first-person mode, although it cannot be switched at will during the course of the game, WCCFTech reported.

Previous reports revealed that pre-order details for "Spider-Man" are now available in several retail stores online and will come in the PSN several days before its actually launch.

The "Spider-Man" PS4 game will launch sometime in 2018 for the PS4 console.
