While Jailbreak fans wait for either the rumored iOS 10.3-10.3.1 jailbreak from Team Pangu or a possible crack on iOS 11 a solution is currently available and offers a fairly stable jailbreaking of both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The updated extra_recipe+yalux has become a better jailbreak tool than ever, a new report said.

The tool, thanks to the combined works of Ian Beer, Xerub and Luca Todesco, is now on beta 4 and according to iDownloadBlog.com extra_recipe+yalux is more usable and stable than the initial versions. Unlike in the earlier stage, it now includes both Substrate and Cydia support.

Technically, extra_recipe+yalux now functions nearly the same as Yalu102 but the former is exclusive only to the iPhone 7 series. It is expected that in the upcoming updates (the tool currently in beta 4), support will be expanded to other devices namely the iPhone 6S series, iPhone 6 series, iPhone SE, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

But one needs to be reminded that for extra_recipe+yalux to work, the firmware versions that run on the devices have to be iOS 10.0.0 and 10.1.1, iDB said on its report. At present, the tool can be obtained as compiled .ipa but it is recommended to hold out for now as Xerub plans to apply some bits of tweaks to make sure that the jailbreak will behave as designed.

When that happens, iDB said it will be a must for jailbreak fans on the 64-bit platform to switch to extra_recipe+yalux especially those with the iPhone 7 series. But for other devices, starting with the iPhone 6 series, the best bet remains the Yalu102 JB tool provided by Todesco.

Meanwhile, the wait continues for the rumored iOS 10.3-10.3.1 jailbreak that supposedly Chinese hacking group Pangu last May. It is now said the jailbreak will have to wait as the devs will want to check out first the KPP exploit that security researcher Adam Donenfeld has promised to release in August.

With the bug, it was suggested that other jailbreak makers might be inspired to release numerous or a unified solution that will support the firmware versions iOS 10.3 and iOS 10.3.1. But the possibility is there too that hackers will skip the later iOS 10.3.x versions and focus instead on jailbreaking iOS 11, currently on beta 1 testing.
