The special edition of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be perfect for fans of Johnny Depp, as well as the popular film "Pirates of the Caribbean." This isn't the first time that Samsung partnered with movie studios to have limited edition devices as the company targets blockbuster movies for special edition handsets. However, customers can't buy it just yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 "Pirates of the Caribbean" special edition is only available for a limited time on JD.com for $880, according to GizmoChina. The special edition has its own treasure chest, unlike the regular handsets. Special holder and protective case are also included in the package.

The special edition does not feature any Pirates of the Caribbean decors, but a Dead Men Tell No Tales theme will appear when you turn on the device. Since it is quite expensive, the special casing should be used to avoid any damage and to protect the Galaxy S8's glass, particularly when accidentally dropped.

Other than the accessories and the treasure chest of Pirates of the Caribbean, there aren't any changes in the handset. The specs are the same with 12MP Dual Pixel camera, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage. Still similar to the regular Galaxy S8, but with additional Pirates-inspired visuals. The exclusive kit is recommended for Pirates of the Caribbean fans, although the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed wallpaper can be installed in Galaxy S8 phone.

Meanwhile, this news arrives following the leaked photo of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus in pink. GSM Arena reported that there are some leaked images of Galaxy S8 Plus in Rose Gold and Maple on the internet. Another rumored color is Amethyst. However, there's no official confirmation from Samsung regarding these color variants.
