The OnePlus 5 on release date will be more expensive than the OnePlus 3T but still affordable. New report said the next flagship killer from Chinese startup will preserve its status by selling the OP5 for no more than $440, and the rollout will commence on June 15.

Phone Arena said, citing the latest leaked details from Chinese microblogging site Weibo, said well-known analyst Pan Jiutang issued a note that claimed the OnePlus 5 will sell starting at 3000 Yuan or roughly $440. But when shipped to the United States, it should be expected that the OP5 sticker price will increase a bit, likely around $480, the report added.

The same analyst said that OP5 will be pricier than its immediate predecessor, the OnePlus 3T. The latter's originally sold for $439 in 64GB and $479 in 128GB model. It was suggested too that a 128GB OnePlus 5 will be made available and will be ready to take home for only $499.

While the OnePlus 5 pricing is certainly far from dirt cheap the package seems worth every dollar, WCCFTech said, adding the price levels are "reasonable for a flagship smartphone, especially one that will feature the Snapdragon 835."

So far, leaked details have suggested that the SD 835 on the OnePlus 5 will be paired with 6GB of RAM for the 64GB model and 8GB of RAM for the 128GB variant. And the remaining rumored specifications point to a premium deal from OnePlus.

The device display size is 5.5-inch with Full HD screen resolution. And the camera is of dual configuration, in vertical setup that is similar with upcoming iPhone 8 from Apple. OnePlus also teased that the OP5 camera will be in the high-end sphere.

There is a chance too that the device will be among the first to get Android O though when unboxed the OnePlus 5 will have OxygenOS that is based on the latest Android Nougat version.

As for the device release date, the same report from Phone Arena included a red poster that detailed when exactly the OnePlus 5 is rolling out, purportedly set June 15 at least in mainland China. An event to introduce the device on the same day will start at 3PM.
