Samsung Galaxy Note 8 August 2017 Release Date Confirmed with 6.3-inch Infinity Display?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, rumors said, will mostly mirror what were seen with the Galaxy S8 and the latest reports seem to affirm that. The phablet flagship will reportedly sport a 6.3-inch Infinity Display and the device release date is expected to happen as early as August 2017.

The Note 8 screen measurement was revealed in a Twitter post first pointed to by BGR, which described the poster using Twitter handle @mmddj_china as a gadget tipster with "a decent track record." The clip shared showed the Galaxy Note 8 with a front display that "has almost no bezels at all on the sides, and very narrow bezels above and below the opening for the display."

With the device, the Note 8 will easily defeat not only the GS8 but also the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 that is rumored to unbox with an all-screen front panel, the report added.

In a related report, Android Headlines claimed it's all but confirmed the Note 8 will have a fingerprint sensor that is embedded with the front glass display. Pointing to a set of leaked images purportedly depicting the Note 8, the report said "the fingerprint scanner is not visible here, so it's probably built into the display, which goes hand-in-hand with some previous rumors."

It was earlier reported that the same fingerprint feature rendering was originally planned for the GS8 but Samsung ran out of time. So it makes sense that the improved feature will make it in time for the Note 8 rollout later this 2017.

The same images showed the device with a vertical dual camera that purportedly is optimized for AR and VR functionalities. Again, this is in support of the earlier suggestion that the handset features skipped by Samsung with the GS8 will be finally offered with the Galaxy Note 8 and it appears dual camera is one of them.

The Galaxy Note 8 is also rumored to power up with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 and Samsung's Exynos 8895 chip with RAM support of up to 6GB. The device release date, Android Headlines said, is likely set August 2017 as the Galaxy Note 7 came out in the same month last year.
